Ian joined Basho in July 2011. Prior to Basho, Ian lead the
development of web applications focused on competitive intelligence gathering. Ian stumbled into the world of alternative databases and Erlang when building a large scale bioinformatics platform. Ian brings his experience in these fields, as well as interests in Economics, Finance, and the Sciences to the Developer Advocate team. Ian received a B.A. in Natural Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University.
