Ron is a veteran programmer interested in formal methods and the history and philosophy of computation.

Ron leads OpenJDK's Project Loom, which aims to add fibers, delimited continuations and tail-calls to the JVM. He is also the author of the online book, Finite of Sense and Infinite of Thought, on which this talk is based.
